Fleur Long Sleeve Cutout Bodycon Maxi Dress — Square Neck, High Slit Going Out Dress

A long-sleeve maxi with a cutout at the waist and a slit to the hip. Square neckline, long fitted sleeves, then the fabric breaks away either side of the midriff and picks up again at a twisted, ruched wrap skirt. Cut close through the whole body in a soft stretch jersey.

Why it works

• Waist cutout. Open at the sides of the midriff, joined at the centre — more wearable than a full crop-and-skirt two-piece, and it stays put.
• Square neckline. Straight across the collarbone, so the top half stays covered while the middle does the work.
• Twist-front skirt. Gathered and knotted at the hip, which is where the high slit opens from.
• Soft stretch jersey. Follows the body without the stiffness of a bandage fabric.
• 4 colorways. White, black, wine red and brown.

Wear it to

Birthday nights out, club nights, concerts, Vegas and holiday evenings, and photo-led events. This is a going-out dress — the cutout and the hip-high slit make it a poor choice for a wedding or an office party, so we've stopped listing it as one.

Style it

Heels, a small bag, hair down or slicked back. No belt — there is nowhere to put one. A stick-on or seamless bra; the cutout sits right where a band would.

Size guide — US inches

Garment measurements taken flat and unstretched, converted to inches. The jersey has real stretch, so these will give several inches on the body.

Sizing runs small. Cut to an Asian size standard, roughly one to two sizes under US sizing. Size up if you are between sizes or want the cutout to sit flat rather than pull. Allow about 1 inch of variance from hand measurement.

Length: 52.7–54.2 inches shoulder to hem. Under about 5'6" it will touch the floor — plan on a heel. Sleeves run long at 21.5–22.2 inches from the shoulder seam, which is the intended look.
